Create Your Own Personal Wrapping Paper

Wrapping Paper Activity

I don’t know about you but I always seem to run out of wrapping paper. Or I have wrapping paper that’s pink with fairies for wrapping a boy’s present. I was also shocked to find out that most shiny wrapping paper can’t be recycled. So, I was determined to find another way and I think I’ve hit on it. This is my personal wrapping paper you can never run out of.

You Will Need

  • Brown parcel paper
  • Crayons or felt pens
  • I don’t recommend paint!

There are two ways of doing this. Either wrap your gift first and then draw on the paper or draw on the paper first and wrap afterwards. Most parcel paper has a shiny side and a matte side. The matte side is better for drawing on.

Make sure you test your felt pens staying power before decorating your present paper! Last thing you want is felt tip pen to rub off all over your party clothes.

That’s it! Your gift will stand out and it also has a bit of thought put into it.

On the economical side, parcel paper is cheaper than wrapping paper and comes in bigger lengths. If you can’t  find it in the shops near you try Ebay.
